GAP will cover the difference between what how much your insurance pays you and how much you still owe on the car. For example, if you owe $17K and insurance pays you $14K GAP will cover the remaining $3K.

I went ahead and got GAP on my new car, only $300 and I figured it was money well spent, hoping to never have to use it.

That's basically it in a nutshell but there are some things that are excluded so GAP might not cover the entire remaining amount. There's a lot that goes into the payout calculation. Read your contract/certificate/policy to sure. If you're smart though, you shouldn't be financing more than what the car is worth in the first place and try to keep the car in good condition so that it's worth as much or more than what you still owe on it. Shouldn't be that difficult as S2000s (and Hondas in general) typically hold their value pretty well.

^^ It seems the damage just missed the frame so it should be fixable but depending the age/mileage of it, it might get totaled due to the airbag deploying.

Hard to tell without better pics. Definetly worth fixing IMHO.

Shes currently sitting in the towing companies lot, so maybe ill stop by after work and get some better pics. As far as fixing it, it obviously looks fixable, but i would just be worried about spending all the money to fix it and getting crap for it if i would ever sell it because now it has a salvage title. Still waiting for the insurance sompany to get an official call of wether its totalled or not, but unofficially they said its totalled.
