Hey guys, I know this is mostly about GoPro but I have a question.

I've been debating on buying GoPro HD2 or Countour? Any major differences? Not worried about price because I get the hookup

^^ The GoPro with your canon and externam mic sounded excellent. I googled how much a setup like that would cost after watching it. Yikes.

I think i'll get my hardtop first.
I got rid of the Canon Vixia HG20 because the GoPro HD replaced it. I was just showing that ANY external microphone will help. In my autox videos I'm using the Zoom H2 Microphone as the external mic.
Didn't know that you can add an external microphone to the Gopro HD? Is that to the new version?

Yes the new version has an external mic port.

got my Gopro 2 in the mail yesterday, outdoor edition but I got it for a good price, also went to bestbuy and got a suction cup mount, same price as amazon. Going to play around with it this weekend, but my only question is, what SD cards is everyone using? do you notice any difference in class 6 and class 10? how about 20mb/s and 30mb/s?

I used the PNY 32g class 10 30mb/s purchased from BHPhoto.com around 35 bucks each. I have two of them to do my videos. I have had my gopro2 for about 6 months and had no problems with those sd cards. You will have to reformate the card after you transfer the videos to your computer. A friend of mine says that you don't need a class 10 for videos but you will need it for the time lapse pictures but I didn't want ro take that chance so I just purchased a class 10 sc card. Enjoy the camera man.

I have 2 of these Transcend 32 GB Class SDHC 10 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC10E from Amazon for $37 each

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details

I have had no problems and have never had to reformat after loading video to my iPad or iMac.

You might want to consider getting a BatPac (battery pac) as your battery will run dry before you will fill these cards. Good Luck.

I was looking into that card and this one http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extrem...0612544&sr=8-2

I will be getting the skeleton case so I can charge and record using the cable and the usb car charger from my phone, so battery life shouldn't be an issue. I will also be looking into an external mic to use as well.

On the reformatting of the sd card, I have shot a lot of video using this card and had to reformat it because after some time the card will hold data even after the data was erased. But no problems after that. Later BD
