Too late. Bought a 89 Toyota Corolla 122K miles today for $1K . Car seem o.k and yes the brake still works fine for now. I figured if it last for another 800 miles I'll be o.k (4 miles each way to work = 8x5 days=40 x 4 wks= 160 per month x5 months = 800 miles) Com' on it a TOYOTA

You got a point... BUT... I don't planing on selling my car untill at least 5 years from now. So what car do you think will have a better resale value 05 or 06 ? That what I thought. Who ever sell their NEW car whitin 2 years is deserved to be taking to the cleaner. Thanks for the "depreciation" information but I already know that.
yeah, and the 07 will be better then the 06.... its a neverending cycle...

keep looking for the 04.... i'm pretty sure you'll find one for around 26k... i'm not speaking from experience or anything....

Why the hell is a person in a right mind would buy a car that is consider 7 months old when they can just wait a few more months and get a brand new model. If you think it good idea to buy an 05 then goes ahead and in a few months you gonna wish you waited because the 05 already lose it value by $1K- $2K.
In October if someone goes to Honda to buy an S2000 . Do you think they will buy an 05 or an 06 for almost the same or maybe a few hundred more for the 06 ? 06 of course. This has nothing to do with "reduce depreciation" it has alot to do with common sense.
Common sense tells me to start enjoy the summer w/ an S. This is barely May. Stop talking rubbish about waiting toward the end of the year to buy an '06 model to save on resale value. By that time, one might as well put the car into hybernation until the following Spring.

I would say to wait when there was huge markup like when it first came out. But waiting for another 5-6 months now is absurd.
