Default Oil Change question

My first was done about 4800mi. I have about 8700mi now. Should I go ahead and get the factory fill or some other petroleum based 10W30, or wait until 10,000 and go with a synthetic?

Honda (Mobil DriveClean) is good oil. I would wait to switch to synthetic (if you are set on using it) until after 10k miles.

Since noone really knows what this might be, it'll be somewhat difficult to get it from the dealer. The dealer will put in a Mobil Drive Clean non-synthetic oil. Nothing special about this. Why not just get something from your local auto supply store (Walmart even). A name brand oil like Castrol 10W30 is fine. Since you've passed the Honda recommended miles of 7500 for converting to synthetic, this is a choice that is now available to you. Take your pick.

If you are planning to switch to synthetic there is no reason to wait until magic mark of 10k miles. Just go ahead and fill it with syntethic and be done with it.
