Stupid me but I didn't read the FAQ before doing some stupid stuff.

I've been pushing on the hood to close the hood instead of dropping it from chest level like the FAQ stats. I've looked at my hood closely and I don't see and dents. If the dents exist, is it noticeable?

I need to remind myself AND my girlfriend that *THIS* is a special car.

If the dents exist and you can't see them do they really exist? Seriously, if you can't tell then don't worry about it. If some ham-handed mechanic mashes your hood down you WILL be able to tell.

Yes, drop the hood from about 2 feet up and it should slam uncomfortably loudly, but it will close. And if you take your car in for service (oil change, whatever) make SURE they know this. The first and only time I had someone else change my oil, they tried to push the hood down...I ran outside and made sure they didn't!!

I use ~1 foot. Maybe 18 inches if the first try didn't do it. No sense in dents going the opposite direction...
