Did you happen to get the # of the car? If so you could check it against S2Ki to see if it belonged to a member. I hope the people lived. Pictures like those or like the one below make me wonder how much protection the X frame gives us in a side impact. Of course anything will fold up if it's hit hard enough.

Those sorta of speeds are for the race track only folks. Even if you are capable of those speeds the people around you most likely are not.

These might be that same one, however that car was taken to a different yard, maybe But I think this one was more recent.

The pictures low-s2000 posted appear to be a vehicle that was broad sided at the passenger door by and extremely heavy vehicle that was traveling better than 40 MPH. Evidence of this include the driver back tire being folded under the car, the extreme interior invasion without the presence of sod or other organic material in the wreckage, and the fact that the driver airbag never deployed. I think that any car hit with this much force would have had the same result, so I don't think that it is a lack of structural rigidity in the S2000 that allowed so much penetration into the passenger compartment. Unfortunately, it does not appear that this accident was survivable. I hope the car was parked while the owner was inside a store shopping or something.
