not the yellow, sorry but i can't stand bananas, some look good, but they're just not my thing, but its your choice not mine so which ever you think would make you more happy, they both seem great.

also consider that any with mods have more that likely been run too hard

I'd also go with the 06, just not a fan of yellow cars.

ewww negative equity...
with the economy right now, id stick with the tc and not waste any more money.

if not, try different places to sell your car.
try carmax, auction auto direct, etc.

Depends on what color you like. my advice is to spend extra for the color you want if you have to. At first no matter what color you get you will like it but give it a month or a year and you will wish you had gotten the color you like the best. With that being said i would suggest getting the color you like best. If possible i would keep the tc and sell it private party i know that may not be possible but it would be alot better for you i would imagine.
I couldn't agree more. Color is the most important factor when choosing your car, in my opinion, because it's what you will have to look at every day when you get into your car.

A one year model difference, a difference of two thousand miles, even a difference of a thousand dollars...these are minor things. But I have read enough testimonies from S2000 owners who settled for their second-favorite color and regretted it. Take a good look at ALL of the colors that the S is available in, and then make a decision.

If it's down to these two, which do you like more, Silverstone or Rio?

^^^ agree!

Go with what color you really want. In the end the 1-2k you spent for it means nothing as your smile seeing your car everyday and patting yourself on the back for making the right decision makes it all worth it!

Previous car chose second wanted color = meh
Current car chose the only color I wanted (didn't get the best deal available but I could care less now) = AWESOME!

in addition, how do they both drive? how are the tires on each? are they the stock tires? are they something better or cheaper if not?
interior-wise, how is the leather? lots of cracks starting like an oversized person was the owner, or well maintained? oil change history? curb-rash on rims? how clean is the carpet (u should b able to tell something about the past owners by this). how much pitting and imperfections on the front ends of the cars from normal wear? and yes....which color do u like?
i like the rio...though if it was my DD i dont know. i don't think silver looks bad... but doesn't look good to me either (yes i'm in the silver is too bland for my taste crowd, sorry).
1k for the color u want isn't bad. when i was thinking about getting the new-gen CTS, i know i was willing to pay extra for the color i wanted (white is a premium color that costs almost 1k extra in the cts)

g/l car shopping

p.s. also not feeling the ap1 lip on the ap2 rio.

Okay.. So everybody here has made a great point; get the color you WANT. I really could care less about the RIO, the Silverstone is sweet, but wait! I found a GPW! Only catch is that it's 145 miles away in San Antonio.

The GPW is a MY06 with 19k mi. and asking 22,800. I love the color. Silverstone is second choice.

How should I go about negotiating with them without having to drive all the way to San Antonio? I have a trade so it complicates things.

Here's the car: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u...ce=&cardist=169

Also can anybody check the carfax?

Thanks a bunch for everybody's input. It's nice to know that there is such a great enthusiast base for this awesome car.
