Default One leaky shock, replace one or both?

I had a leaky shock on the back of my car, and since its still on warranty they replaced the shock, but only the leaky one. i wanted them to replace both, since now one has 0 miles the other has 40000 miles. should i have paid for the other one to get replaced? I just want your opinions on what you would have done if you were in my situation?

If it were me, I would replace it. Remeber, this is a sports car with critical handling characteristics. Why compromise it?

They (Honda) did the same on our 05 Element - one strut was replaced and not the other. It took 3 visits to get the one replaced, so I was not going to try my luck for #2

replace it, you could even do it yourself, its easy and doesn't cost that much, and the benifits out weigh the down side

I had the same problem. Honda replaced only one under warranty. There were no ill effects.

Replace the other one yourself.

Consider doing the other two soon as well.

IMO replace it at your cost.

Thanks for the replys. I know its easy to replace i rarely have a dealership do work on my cars. if i had done it myself i would have done both. i had honda do it because it is still under warranty, therefore i had no leverage to have them replace the other one since the other shock was i good shape.
