I got quoted 395 to reclear my front bumper on my s2k. got some flaking clear.. Bumper also has a crack on the bottem but i figured a lip kit would cover it.

Found these guys on ebay where you can buy the new part and they paint and clear to oem colour code. I can get a new bumper and paint for 495. Only thing I'm worried about is will the colour match to the car?

Do you think 395 to reclear the bumper is expensive? anyone know a place in FL that could give me a better deal? I'm in Palm Coast 30 minutes north of Daytona Beach.

With a MY01 you probably have some serious fading going on. If they repaint it to the factory NFR (which I presume they would) it will not match very well.

A local shop would put the new bumper on and blend the paint in as to match the current color well.

When I put my new OEM lip on the 5 year old paint you can certainly tell a little difference, but on something as big as the whole bumper I'd imagine it's enough to drive you nuts.

 

they said they could do a paint sample from me.. but what would i send into them? I just think 395 to reclear my front bumper and not even fix the crack at the bottem is nuts...

 

Traditionally a shop will use your fuel door lid.

 

anyone know a place that will clear cheaper than 395 around here?
