Default Opening trunk w/ car on

I have a question...Whenever I try to open my trunk with the car running, it doesnt work...as soon as I take my key out of the ignition but keep it near the steering wheel and then it opens fine...is this just something the s2000's do? Thanx

I fixed this a long time ago. There is a wire you can cut to fix this. It's one of the frist things I did. I can't find my post when doing a seach. It was titled "A few gripes and concerns".

do what jason says, or conform.

ignition on = no remote open

hint: press the middle console trunk button button and it always opens the trunk.

You know what's funny...I forgot that I had that other button...I thought it was either open it with the key or use the remote, I totally forgot about the lil' button in the storage compartment...I'll try to look for that wire though, it would be nice

Here's a diagram showing which wires to cut to get the remote to work while you're car is on: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=314036
