Default Other horn options?

Has anybody gone with either of these:

Hella Twin Supertone Horns
http://www.performanceproducts.com/product...QTEEWK5UHDS3QP0

Are they any louder or deeper than the stock horn? They look similar to the stock horns which makes me wonder if they also sound like the Road Runner (beep beep). Installation should be a breeze since they probably can be mounted in the stock locations.

Hella Trumpet Horns

I'd imagine these sound similar to an American car horn.

Try this thread for another option to the Hella's. Available at Napa for <$30 and they are awesome!

I have the dual Hella "Air Horns" not shown by your post and they kick-butt! I suggest the "airs" over conventional. They command authority! About $50

i also have the air horns...
like the difference between a mouse (stock) and a train (hellas)!!
they also have the "right" sound for our car IMO.
one of the best upgrades for the cost-
i suggest painting the horns black so that it is not visible and pointing them towards the ground (mounted inside the grill). if you have a local club, check out the horns at the next meet.
upgraded horns are a must!

check here for Hella pricing, seems like good prices for electric and 2 and 3 trumpet air horns.

I put in the twin Hella's; they look and sound awesome. They hang next to the condensor (at least that's what I think it is) through the grill. Obviously bought them because I didn't want SUV women missin' my stook- and the few times Ive had to lean on it I scared 'em so bad they retreated to their slow lanes... to make a phone call of course.

Have the hella supertones - much louder, deeper but harsher. You have to stop using the remote unlock with the horn sound (way to loud with people around).

I have the Hella Supertones, they are seriously loud! You don't stand in front of the car and lock it with the remote.

tom717 and Big Al,

Were you able to install the Hella Supertones where the stock horns were? They look like they could be "drop-in" replacements. Any modifications needed for anything (i.e. different fuse, additional wiring, mounting brackets, etc)?

I'm interested in keeping the installation as easy as possible and while I like the air horn idea, I don't want to have to install any add-on equipment (unless I have to).

Would you guys say that the Supertones will get you noticed if an SUV decided to cut you off?

No doubt; SUVs become missile fodder when hit with the Supertones.
