Default Painted calipers

I'm thinking of getting my calipers painted red when i take my S2K for it's next service this summer.....oil change, possibly stainless line (is it even necessary??), and while they're doing the lines, they might as well paint the calipers....any suggestions on brake lines, and please post pics of your painted calipers...i want to see the finish...thanks in advance!!!

You're going to have a dealer paint your calipers? You can DIY with a simple paint kit available online or at most quality auto parts stores.

I think red calipers (or just about any painted calipers) look great. It's probably the third most common modification to sports cars. Does nothing for performance, but they sure do look good.

Stainless steel lines, on the other hand, while not "necessary" do fall under performance modification. It's an upgrade much like improved pads or rotors.

Don't waste your money on SS lines,if it's only street driven;you'll never feel a difference.
For the calipers,get a can of Tremclad hi-temp rustproof paint,and a small brush = $3.95.

Either method works fine. Painting them on the car is less work (mechanically) but maybe a little tougher to do.

I've painted at least a dozen calipers and all were on the car except once when I replaced new fronts on one of our 3000GT's.
