I leave my top down, only if im grabbing something really quick. Like blockbuster, or starbucks. and if I do leave it down, I lock everything in my little safe box. (i don't know what they call that compartment)
If you leave the top down, make sure you unscrew your shift knob. Possibly its the in thing to still S2k shift knobs with there seats! I live in Orlando; and thats all those ricers do!

If its not a quickie TOP UP!

Last time I had the question go through my head I decided that people suck and put it up. When I came out from the restaurant someone had stuck a wad of gum on the top near the rear window. Glad I put it up....

i own a CR so hardtop only.
This thread kinda made me 2nd think a couple thing.
so props for starting it.
During the summer i would love to go toptown everywhere i go. But in hind site that could be dangerous. Im going to have to decide where is safe and how long of trips can i justify without haveing a softop option.

Too much vandalism going around for me to leave the top down much. Too bad because I do like the clean look of top-down with the cover on but too much hassle to install and remove constantly.

always up..

i work at a casino with CCTV surveilence, close mates in the monitoring room keeping an eye out for me.. and a secure staff carpark and i still leave it up..

Just like the internet, ppl enjoy being anonymous asshole's to things they cannot and never will afford..

Top down in some areas ... like a really reliable gated parking lot with Ferraris and Porsches around me

Or my apartment, etc. It really depends. Also on some neighbourhood if I'm just away from the car for a short while. I always enable my aftermarket immobilizer and turn on the alarm regardless though

Mine is always up even when I'm parked in the garage for the night. I always park the farthest away from a store in the parking lot so no one dings my car and since I'm so far away I always put the top up. If I'm in a shady area I'll even lock the glovebox. I will maybe leave the top down if I'm going in a local place really quick where I feel comfortable about the area.

I'd rather replace worn out motors than continually cleaning up people's messes after they chucked a drink in or damage/stole anything inside. People suck.
