Passenger airbag defeat in Australia
I sold my 2001 in 2014 when I moved to Australia.
I know found a great 2001 aussie version but now have a 3 yo boy, so question is, can I defeat the passenger airbag legally in victoria Australia so I can ride with my son and not keep a second car as I want my S2k again. I hope I can still find a comptech supercharger for a 2001.

when I was 3, I rode in the car with no seatbelt- on highway trips I sat on the floor sometimes. When my son was 3, he rode in the front seat of my '88 GTX Mazda- seatbelt and no airbags. When my other son was 7 he rode in the passenger seat of my AP1- I put the seat as far back as possible and he seemed to survive just fine.
Just don't crash, but, if its a concern, I'd just pull the fuse.
good luck

I’ve been wrestling with this same question. I’d love to take my 5year old grandson for rides but just won’t do it because of the air bag. Can the fuse be pulled on a 2004? Is it that simple? I was even toying with the idea of trading for convertible Corvette.
