Doesnt the fact that the ap2 makes more power and torque with 1000 less rpm's just and .2 more liters displacenemt mean that its as good a motor as the f20c? I mean this motor should still be considered a tech marvel. Civic and integras have the same redline, yes, but not the same hp or torque. I'm so sick of some ap1 guys constanly trying to make out the ap2 to be inferior.

I think owners are biased! I have an AP2, and I absolutely love it! The looks, the lines, the 2.2 liter, the bigger and better wheels!

9k doesn't always matter, especially if you end up going FI, which I may end up doing in the future. Now the real question for me would be, Turbo or Supercharge???

I'm partial to my MY03 and if I had to do it all over again, I'd get the same. IMO, the appearance is cleaner and the lines aren't out of place. I also prefer the stiffer suspension and the higher redline. The car is well appointed out of the factory, my only mods, the x-brace, 7/8 windscreen, seat locks, and the Euro Honda badges which complete the look.

The 2.2 is superior to the 2.0 in just about every way. It makes more power and torque, and is conservatively lowered to 8200 rpms. Add some titanium springs and retaners and an EMS and you've got your 9000 rpms back.

If for some reason I came into a ton of money that I didn't know what to do with, I'd install a 2.2 bottom end in a heartbeat.

With that said, if for some reason I needed another car, I would not get an 02 or higher. I don't like the glass window or the "nicer" consoles. I think the comment about the carpet interior is one of the best quotes I've read on this forum.
the head is NOT the limiting factor in the F22 and how much it revs..... AP1 and ap2 heads are identical besides Retainers and cams...

I had an AP1, then got an AP2. I didn't like it, so I went back to AP1. YMMV. <shrug>
