Perception of our S
Here's a little story that happened this morning. It might shed some light on the perception that others have of our car.
Our offices are on the third floor of a three story building. My office window overlooks the parking lot. When I bring my S to work I park in the farthest spot so that no one will ding it. I generally park diagonally across two spots which is not a problem as there is much more parking then there are cars. None the less, most everyone in the office peeks out at my S when I bring it. They all like it, especially the secretarys.
Because it's tax season, I've been going in especially early and because the weather has been miserable in the northeast, I've been taking my 4Runner to work. Thats what I did this morning.
At about 8:30 this morning, Deborah, a very hip middle aged secretary, came into the office, saw me and said with great relief, "I'm so glad you're here, I was so worried about you."
I asked her why. She replied, "All of a sudden the traffic stopped dead, and there was a grey Corvette on the side of the road on fire. I thought it was you." I replied, "Deborah, I'm touched that you thought of me, but I don't have a Corvette. My car is a Honda." Crestfallen, Deborah stepped back and said, "A Honda? I thought it was a Corvette." I could see that she was disappointed.
Maybe its just a problem of perception.

Perhaps it was a Cavalier convertible?
