Well you could get a regular job and buy Vete but..... then what would you have to complain about. j/k I used to have a day job and I used to own a Vete... But now my biggest complaint is where the hell is summer; I'm ready, but one day it snows and the next day it's 70 degrees and the next it snows again. I was ready to take out the S2000, almost called the insurance company, but I looked at the weather forecast. I know, move south... but you never met my wife. I know, find another. But, she married me for my Vete. But, now I have a Honda and she said, A Honda? I thought it was a Corvette." I could see that she was disappointed.

Maybe its just a problem of perception.

ha ha ha.. I've actually experienced the exact opposite... I've had many a person compliment the car on the road... I even had some people in a mini van open the sliding door to take pictures... mind you we were moving... I think people are just wrapped up in a stigma of what they believe to be elitist cars....

She sees your silver car as "grey"... It makes you wonder further about what she sees.

I think that is exactly right. I think that is why Deborah like my car when she thought it was a Corvette but was disappointed to find out its a Honda.

Now that you mention it, you have a very good point.

The S2000 does look a lot like the 1953 Corvette.

I don't even bother telling people it's a S2000, because they always reply
what is that.
Then i gotta explain the S2000 .. the S is for sport i guess and 2000 is for the
2L
I just tell them it's a Honda Conv. saves my time to explain.
But everybody in my company said it's a nice car.
Some evey like the blue heh.

Sorry to hear about the 'vette.
I had just the opposite experience. My good friend at work just bought a 2001 'vette last weekend and has really been showing it off and enjoying the attention it has been bringing. Well, Thursday in the breakroom, a really hot secretary came up to me and whispered in my ear that she thought my car - a red '02 S - was better looking and much hotter than his 'vette! Whooo hooo!!
Then on Friday when I went to the bank, I pulled into the drive through lane that was going up to the window and the pretty young thing waiting on me said she was so glad I pulled into her lane so she could get a better look at my beautiful car. Of course I had the top down and the Rolling Stones blaring, it was all good!!
This kind of thing seems to happen every week, seems like everyday but I know better! Just driving around with the top down, people seem to open up and be friendly.
I love this car
