I'm having another prototype made (this one in tinted Lexan, just to see how it works) with another 1/2 inch trimmed off the top to satisfy those who don't want to push the window back.

I'm also considering development of some kind of a switch to disable the roof motor when the wind screen is folded back. That will make the thing idiot proof.

Hello Rick,

Thanks for the feedback. I will buy one even in it's present state. I think you are doing wonders with this car. I do feel though that it should be able to clear the back window when follded back while the top is up. This was the only part of functionality that I was referring to. I think some of our veiwers thought I meant the clearance when the screen is folded back and while retracting the top. You are correct in saying this would require a lot more trimming and would completely defeat all of your R&D.
The logo thing I am still not sold on, but maybe when I see it in person I will be sold (I still think smaller = less tacky = more classy). No matter what, count me in.

Rick,

I forgot one other thing, your switch thingy is a great idea. I have a short cut for you. the car already has a simple pressurre switch connected to the hand brake. You could get another generic pressure switch for a buck or two and tap into the hand brake wire. That way either the folded windscreen or the handbrake will disable the master switch that operates the top (for those of you that did not know, this is how the top is prevented from operating while driving).

F1 trainer,

Thanks for the tip. I'll have it wired into my own car when it comes so that we can figure out the best way to do it. Then I'll post directions for others.

I am not one who cares much about the wind. The current size of the Honda screen does not bother me a bit. However, the look of the logo on Rick's version is so kick ass that I'd buy it for that alone! I am not one to make a lot of modifications to the car, but I just love the S2000 etching on the screen.
