Default Picked up an '01...the A/C is fading in/out

Just picked up an '01 this morning. AC was fine on test drive and fine this morning, and then it started to fade out and get pretty warm. Then it would kick back on and be ICE cold. Then back to hot. Then later this afternoon it was all hot, no cold kicking on.

Since it blew real cold some of the time, I'm thinking it's something to do with a switch or something. Any ideas?

It's mid 90s and way humid.

Mine did the same thing, but was over charged. There is a pressure switch, and if the AC's high side goes too high or too low, it will kick off the compressor to keep the AC system from being damaged. Have someone who knows how to work on an AC system check your pressure and add/subtract if needed.

The previous owner must have taken mine to a shop and they over pressurized the system.

Definitely a compressor issue. I'll take it somewhere and have them hook some gauges up to it.

Freon was overcharged, had about 2.4 in it and supposed to be about 1.4. Still appears to be cycling off/on improperly, techs suggestion was the pressure switch as the relay was fine.

Is there a good resource for schematics or anything where I'd be able to figure out where the pressure switch is and possibly how to replace it?
