Thumbs up picking up wheels

on saturday im picking up another set of wheels for the S. the drive would be like two hours away. i would like to drive the S but i still need to bring my stock back home since im thinking of installing the new wheels and drive the new set on the way home. would this be possible? i only tried putting one wheel on the trunk but have to remove the box to be able to fit it. i was thinking of taking the spare tire and the box, then just bring the jack and other tools needed. will two tires fit in the trunk and two in the passenger side? i would like to drive the top down all the way.

I've tried to fit 4 tires in my car and it didn't work out.

what size are these wheels? I ordered some tires (rears) from the tirerack and had to take them to a plcae to get them mounted.I barely put two tires in the front seat.

its been done. beb in the socal forums has done this before. take off the spare and leave it at home because a wheelcan fit in there. take off the tool tray and another one goes there standing up. then 2 in the passenger seat area but its better if you take off the seat and leave it at home. good luck

Wheel or tires? You mentioned both.

I've heard of people getting wheels only in the S.. but never tires. <-- not saying it has never been done.. I just have never seen it..

It can be done if you take out the passenger seat - just need to unbolt 4 bolts. I used to transfer my 4 16" OEM wheels to the auto-x events that way. With the passenger seat out, I could put 2 wheels side by side and another one sitting on top of them (top closes fine). Then the 4th wheel goes in the trunk.
