Post the phone number.

Maybe the community here can find the owner of the number through a backwards search (if it is legit) and get more info for you that way.

So because they slightly inconvenienced you, you did what easily could be several hundred to several thousand dollars damage to their car? Classy.

Go back to the security office and demand to see the surveillance camera footage. If they try and BS you then ask for their corporate number and go to speak to the mall manager(the mall hires the security company) and talk to them about it(seriously complain and be pissed about it). The mall manager should be able to help you out. Otherwise make sure you tell them that you're not paying for the damages caused to your vehicle while you were on their "private open to the public" property.

You can actually get the security company to pay for the damages if you play your cards right!!! To them it's either pay for the damages or lose the contract to the mall.
Did the SUV have 24's and 0% tint... Just kidding, no but I agree w/ nuke, you cant just give up.. You gotta raise some hell! Good luck man!

Its not an inconvenience, its blatently deliberate disrespect and vandalism. They know good and well their fat asses cant fit out the door without putting a dent in mine, and I have 2-3k over time in PDR and repairs now because of dousche just like the one that attacked the OP. I am sending a message and retaliating now, sometimes I wait for the owner and sometimes I do not. It is NOT ok for them to do this and when they cross the line I will goddamn good and well let them know in whatever means I feel necessary.

People aren't going to show respect or be considerate just because we continually turn the other cheek for them to slap repeatedly. When you have a parking lot thats nearly desolate and the asshole feels the need to go out of their way to park so close to your door that you can not open it and they dent your door getting out, just because they feel its cute?

I mean, how could they not KNOW if there are cameras there? I'm sure sh!t goes down a lot in that area (it's like a drop off/valet area for many outside restaurants & a theatre and also an exit for the mall), basically a very busy place, especially during the weekends. There's no excuse for them not to have some sort of surveilance there.

Also I am for sure that this asshat gave me a bogus number or is just not picking up. I have probably called 20-30 times since last night at various times and still no one picks up. I looked up the # on google and it's a landline in pasadena, a city fairly close to the mall. I might give the reverse phone lookup a try..
I can guarantee you its a botched number that they used to save their asses from a hit and run charge. They would just say something like "Oh thats a 9 and not a 4, you didnt dial the right number yadda yadda..."

If you use your insurance to repair the damage, it will be considered a hit and run and will fall under the uninsured motorist category which carries a lower deductible than your comprehensive coverage. Next time park far away.

That sucks - no two ways about it! My wife always complains because I park so far from other people when I go to the mall (or anywhere for that matter) but its to avoid what happened to you. I hope you get everything sorted.
THIS! With my gf! She understands though so doesn't mind the walk anymore.

Sorry to see this dude.

Don't lose hope. Same thing happened to me and I kept calling the number on the note. Husband denies the whole thing. After leaving a message and lying....telling him they got him on tape and about to hand it over to the cops. The guy calls back. You can try that. I basically said, "I'm going to look at the surveillance tape to confirm my car before security hands it over to the cops. Call back if this is you before it's too late...because once the cops get it it'll probably become a hit 'n run case." It worked in my for me. Give it a try and good luck.

Anything before having the cops involved. The cops are the most useless people ever in car related stuff.
