Place for CD changer
I've posted this before, but I think it's worth doing again.
Alpine CD 620 fits perfectly in the tool tray under the fake floor of the trunk.
The sleeve thing makes it a perfect interference fit, and it is out of the way. Plug allows removal if you need to carry a flat tire.

Maybe European dealers are better suited to
the needs of their customers? 2 weeks ago I
could pick up a car for a testdrive (Alfa
Romeo GTV 3.0) at the dealers' house!

Hi,
is this Alpine changer with the default
Honda radio? I presume I will get the new
radio with the clock.
The dealer couldn't tell whether it was. I
don't care, what's time in a car like this?

I put my Alpine 6-Disc changer in the stock head unit location... I really should post pics one of these days. It is definitely one of the most impressive installs I have done. You pop down the plastic door (which has a Alpine EQ face plate in it) and the door to the changer is perfectly accessable... You push the changer's green button and the cartridge pops out untouched by any dash pieces...
When I had my dash out the inspiration hit me... I just took out the stock head unit bracket and moved one of the dash support metal tubes over ~1/2 inch (still just as stirdy) and the changer fits perfectly...

Ronald:
If you are asking me... the answer is yes. Stock head unit, adapter gizmo from circuit city and Alping CDM 620.
Works great.
Shaner... I want to see your install... Pics please? Where did the head unit go, or is your new changer a head-unit too?
Thanks,
Dan

Scarv,
My stock head unit (an Alpine IVA C800) is fit into a custom cut hole dead center in the dash... the DVD navigation box is under my seat and the 1" tweeter and 3" midrange from a 3-way Dynaudio component set are in the dash... If I have time tomorrow, I will finally post some pictures (I have to take off my wheels, box themup, and get them ready for shipping on Tues...)
Thanks.
