For those that may have purchased an MDX recently, are you now able to negotiate on the price or is it still being sold at sticker? Also, is it better to deal with a fleet manager or a regular sales person?

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, it's being sold at or near sticker...at least in Florida anyway.

I waited until the local dealer was "awarded" at the end of the year with an extra alotment of '02's. On the verge of being "last years model" the dealer was anxious to get rid of them. I got mine for $2500 under MSRP.

Unless you find a special circumstance like this, expect to pay sticker.

I recently got an '03 with touring and nav for 2800 under msrp, but had to go to San Antonio to get it. The dealers where I live were only talking 500 under list at best so even after planes and gas it was worth it to me. Good luck, I've been very happy with the X so far.

MyBad, at what month is considered near year-end and there's still cars to choose from at a discount?

obs2kl, how do you go about negotiating a price on a car at an out-of-state dealership? I wouldn't want to travel out-of-state unless I'm guranteed on a price.

I apologize as I've realized this is not an S2000 and should have been posted in the Car Talk forum instead.

I went to MDX.org and read about the various dealers and what people thought of them. Much like the s2000, prices seem to vary from region to region. Gunn Acura in San Antonio dealt with me over the phone working with one no haggle price and had the color combo I was looking for. They had someone pick me up at the airport and the vehicle was all prepped and ready and I hit the road within two hours of arriving. The sales guy Charles was really easy to deal with, e-mailing pictures of the MDX with the plastic still on it along with the vin. I think they sell quite a few of them.
