I dont know if you can rent flat beds or low enough box trucks but...

I wouldnt trust a damn person loading your S2k onto a truck and driving it to a destination. Hes not going to care what he scratches etc.

If you do happen to receive the car in some other condition than what you left it to them, its going to be a huge PIA to get some compensation for it.

Noone is going to take care of your S like you will. Theyre not going to make sure their jacket zipper isnt brushing against the paint or that the straps arent scratching it or that the door doesnt hit anything.. ETC ETC..

Just my .02

There are professional car carriers everywhere.

That said, you may want to use a more upscale carrier. Go onto Ferrari chat and ask.

BTW, unless it's a show car, or you got a lease, do the drive in the S. You'll love it.

That is a 3000 mile drive and although I may love it due to unpredictable weather this time of year and my family not able to accompany me ... it may be pretty boring. I also have two small kids, so there is no way to drive both cars down.

I had a VERY bad experience shipping my car with a company called SeaRail.. But for moving my car again (relocating for work next month) I plan on using these guys: http://www.tfxinternational.com/

Fully enclosed, car is loaded with a Penske gate, nobody drives your car the entire time. Costs 3x as much though.

DASAUTOSHIPPERS.COM is the only way to go. They go from terminal to terminal so its a bit cheaper and you can drop the car off at their terminal anytime. I'm getting my M5 shipped enclosed right now and have shipped a S55 and G35 through them w/o an issue!
