Popping the hood ?

When the spring on my latch broke that has the latch itself close broke I was able to pull on the latch cable through the front bumper and grill. Was hard to reach but did pop my hood surprisingly.

i looked underneath the car and realized that they had cut my cord for the hood latch and the line was hanging from the actual latch so i was able to pull it and unlock the hood
