Default Possible CEL fix with Aluminum Foil Wrap

Has anyone tried to wrap the tip of the o2 sensor with aluminum foil? Since the point of the spark plugs CEL fix is to space the sensor further out from the exhaust flow, if we wrap the tip of the sensor with aluminum foil would this fix the CEL? Comment or thoughts are welcome!!!

I would imagine that this would render the sensor inoperable as no exhaust would be able to get into it.

Any mod that involves aluminum foil sounds like a bad idea.

Not true. I wrapped my exhaust tips for an extreme chrome look. Plus, I can pack sandwiches in it for extended road trips.

On a more serious note, the concept is valid, perhaps some sort of fabricated metal cap to limit the amount of exhaust reaching the sensor, and will also resist the potential heat cycle damage of being in the exhaust path.
