Default Cel p0133

Hey guys,

My previous setup was stock header, TP and stock exhaust running Kpro with tune by APH. I swapped the exhaust to a single back, and now I'm getting a CEL P0133 Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response can anyone make sense of this?

Is the sensor 100% plugged in? I recommend going back under the car, unplugging and plugging it back in. Make sure you hear the tab click. The oxygen sensor heater circuit is a very sensitive circuit, so any disruption will throw a code.

If you do this and the light comes back, then either the sensor is bad (which may just be coincidence, but they do go bad and a TP accelerates the wear on O2 sensors) or you may have pinched some wiring in process of swapping exhausts and damaged something.

Maybe my ecu was adjusting to the new exhaust flow, cel is gone now and has been for a few days!

ECU's don't work like that - but glad it's gone.

I had that once and it was as Fernando stated, the o2 sensor was not tightly clipped it at the connector on the tranny mount location, I gave it a firm closing tight and the CEL went away. If it comes back later check the connector.

Even though the light went away, I was running rich, added an extension to the o2 Bong and now I seem to be ok!

luckily because he’d probably screw that up too.
