It also doesn't take much pressure to dent your car, like when passenger's close the door make sure they use the door cup area to close the door. Don't lean too hard on the fender areas while working on the engine.
I just read this entire thread and it is very helpful. I switched the garage door opener to behind the elsatic, and got rid of some crappy cd's so the rest could slide under the passenger's seat. I always keep a microfiber towel in my glovebox to get rid of that annoying dust.
and use the remote unlock / trunk release. those paint chips by the keyhole are just annoying

I found that a $5 Wal-Mart bungee net (the motorcycle kind) works well on the underside of the trunk lid as cheap organizer for stuff you don't want rolling around. The one I have has plastic hooks that you can take off and reposition to anywhere on the net.

top boot: my elastic straps always vibrated in the wind, so i found that if you do one twist before buckling them, they don't flap.
Get some of those floormats that they use at the dealership so when it rains you can just throw one in before you get in. Thats inportant for me because at my school we still have rock salt down from the winder that will get in your car when your feet are wet. they fit perfectly in the trunk tool well.
Another thing I do befor I get out of my car for work is take my faceplate out, leave the radio door open, Open the glove compartment to show that there's nothing in my car to steal. You can put your h/u in the secrete compartment witch unless there a pro at s2000's the thieves may not know about. Hell a ton of people on here that own an s2000 don

For youy dirty-handed folks who just had to change a tire or fix an engine component, throw some latex gloves in the tool kit to keep your hands dry and dirt free (I take them from the doctor's office during visits). Also, keep a couple large Hefty bags to roll the tires into before you throw them into the trunk.
A travel pack of duct tape can fix leaky/punctured hoses or broken clips.
Keep the batteries to your flashlight taped to its outside, not in it. Keeps the thing from getting inadvertantly turned on and running the batteries dead.
Check your spare tire pressure every season - no sense in having two flat tires.
I also keep a cap under my seat, and an extra set of sunglasses in the secret compartment. Same with some spf30 in the center console.
If you have to get towed, make sure you use the screw-in tow hooks - don't let Johnny Towmater try and maul the car onto his flatbed. Don't lose the bumper cover either. Oh yeah, ONLY tow on a flatbed.
Keep a couple maps in the trunk - regional, state, city, just in case.
Towel is good idea - wipe up any rain, bird crap, etc that falls into an open car.
