Default Power Lock?

I recently bought an S2000 year 2000. Today, while out, I tried to unlock the passenger door using the lock on the driver side....and it did not work.
The question is, do I have a passenger door power lock? if yes how do I lock/unlock while seated on driver side. (without the remote).

Thanks

You can double click the remote or do it manually, that's it.

You can unlock the passenger side lock by double clicking the remote (as already mentioned) or by using the key and turning it a second time in the driver's door keyhole. Doing it the way you just described is the only way it will not work.
You can also install a switch to remotely open the passenger door.

The answer is yes, you have a passenger door power lock. To lock the passenger door while seated on driver side, just lock the driver's door.

It is the passenger door power unlock that we don't have here in North America (though it is reported to be available in other parts of the world). It is not possible to unlock the passenger side door without the remote or reaching over the passenger seat.

Stupid Honda should've put a true powerlock in the S2000!!! If they had to sacrifice something, I'd rather it be the cruise control. I probably use that stupid cruise control once a year, and suspect that most owners rarely use it as well. There are very few who use it oftenly.

I don't know about the rest of you, but on my S2000, the remote only unlocks the passenger door if the key is NOT in the ignition. I just reach over to unlock the passenger door if I'm in the car. But I rarely have passengers, so it's not an issue.

The remote is defeated when the key is in the ignition. I can't say for sure if the "panic" mode works or not with key in ignition. Haven't tried it yet.
