Default Pre-Tinted Windshields

Hey everyone, I've done some google searching but I couldn't find anything. I am looking to buy a windshield that is "made" tinted. Many suv's and mini-vans have the rear windows tinted from the factory, the tint is made in the glass. Is there such a thing for windshields.

I am not looking for anything extreme, just something that is roughly 35%

Thanks in advance everyone!

I always thought it to be illegal to tint your windshield besides the little bit a lot of cars have at the top.
I think you can get it tinted if you ahve some kind of recomendation from a doctor because of an eye problem with sunlight or something.
I have never seen a factor type windshield with tinting though.
Good luck on the search and be prepared to be pulled over.

Yes, I know I have mine tinted right now 35%, however I received a ticket for it last week. I didn't know if I could by a winshield that shows now flaws that way I could just explain that is how the glass is made.

FYI I have the windshield tinted because it seems like my car is right at eye level with on-coming traffic's headlights, and I am constantly squinting at night (causing me to have chronic headaches)

^Go to the doctor and get a "prescription" that says you need a tinted windshield. That is the only way to get away with it.

There's pre-UV protection glass, ala Mercedes blue windows. I'm not sure if the windshield is protected as well. It probably isnt, since the blue would distort perception.

Solar Gard makes a film that blocks over 75% of UV rays (I think it's more like 90 but off the top of my head I'll say "over 75") and reduces glare significantly that is CLEAR. We've done a couple windshields with it before with good results.

The best way to do it is to wait until you need to replace the windshield anyway and tint it before it's installed. If you're good, there's no way to tell that it's been tinted.
