Default For anyone interested in tinting their windshield

I just got my car windows and windshield tinted this weekend, and would highly recommend for anyone with an S2000 (or other cars) to do the windshield. I was really skeptical at first and read a lot of mixed reviews online but ultimately did the 70% on my windshield. Today is the first day I got to put it to use and I love it. It looks as if its not even there, but works really well. The car is much cooler on the inside, which was the initial purpose for the tint but the most rewarding part is it reduced most of the glare through the windshield. As a comparison, its like putting on polarized sunglasses for the first time, except without the tint unless you go darker.

Sorry for the rant, but just trying to help someone that has been looking to do it. It took me months to finally decide as I could never find any examples of what I was looking for, and trying to pass the word. If your looking for a place to do it, I did it at Radical Ray Rejection. Found it on craigslist and decided to give it a shot. It is a home business but customer service and work was excellent. Not trying to drive sales for the company, but if your looking for a recommendation for a company theres one.

I attached a picture to show how it looks. Main reason I did this was to see if I can cool my Moddiction knob during the summer, so I will update after a week or so.

You sure thats 70%? looks a lil darker. I've seen 50% and couldn't tell, I can definitely tell your front is tinted.

I know in my town I'll get pulled over REAL quick for this.

The picture is very misleading. In person, the car does NOT look tinted even the slightest bit. I can't emphasize that enough. That was a big deal for me, as I dont want to be worried about being pulled over and am even going back to switch the 20% to 35% this weekend.

Costed $70 to get the windshield done.

At work there is no cover from the sun, so today I purposely did not put on my sunshade to test the temperature in the car. It was much much cooler and the shift knob wasn't very hot at all. I was very impressed. I have tried covering the shift knob before, but it never made a difference for me. Even had the girlfriend sew up a sleeve which did not help either. Plus, don't really carry around a jacket anymore until the end of the year.

Does not affect night visibility (also one of my previous concerns). I can meet up with you guys and you can check out the car in person. I wish I had that chance, or I wouldve done this much sooner. The installer also said she has done this service for Orlando-PD and that they ran the meter on it afterwards and it passed. Food for thought.

I'm sure it's just a mixture of a black car/black top/and tinted windows making it look darker. Looks good tho

might have to make this a summer time project. Lord knows i cant stand how f**king how it gets during the summer, and i have 5% all the way around!

for $70 this seems like a small investment for a large improvement.

$70 seems like a steal for the windshield, but how much was it for all the windows? I haven't been here very long and I have a garage and at work I don't get back into my car until the sun has set, so I have no idea how hot it can get. I'm definitely getting interested though.

Muhahahaha

Welcome to hot, humid Orlando. Be sure to shave all of your body hair before June. Good luck & I hope your job doesn't require slacks.
