Default price of used when the 2k5 is out?

what do you guys think the used S2Ks will drop by when the 2k5 comes out? I'm wanting to pick up a 2000 or 2001 but was thinking about waiting till the 2k5 was out to get a better price

The MY2000 and MY2001 cars are starting to appreciate. No one smart really wants one of those wimpy '02 or '03 or '04 cars with stupid tweeters, glass rear windows AND softer suspensions.

Save your money up if you want an '00 or '01. If you will settle for a mere '02 or '03 or '04, waiting until the '05 cars arrive in October is a good plan.

2000's and 2001's are dropping fast in price. Since last year they have almost dropped like a stone. You should be able to get an excellent one right now for 17.000 to 18,000. I just helped someone pick up a 2000 with 38,000 miles and HondaCare 7/100 extended warranty for 17,200. The car was always garaged and driven by a woman who had no idea there was more power above 6000 rpm. It had been on the market for 3 months. They started asking 22,000. Many are still trying to price the cars like they were selling for 2 years ago. Be patient and you will find a good one at a low price.

well, it is really continuous, with the biggest jumps when models change.

figure the price will go near the previous years' price...approximately.

it's definitely not a straight line over the twelve months. there is a large dip somewhere right before the new models come out. existing inventory sells a larger discount and this exerts pressure on the used vehicle market.

.....but having said that, watch for prices to fall in the fall (no pun intended) and appreciate in the spring as the demand for convertibles rises for the summer!

buy in the fall----sell in the spring
