Man, I don't know what to say to the OP.

My throttle response with the PRM is EXTREMELY crisp, and much sharper than when I had the OEM intake.

When the car is moving, the PRM draws cool air from the opening on the passenger side of the radiator. When the hood is closed, it directs the cool air to the PRM velocity stack. I can stick my arm through this opening:

Even though I live in SoCal, I have never experienced heat bog with the PRM. I can't say why, but perhaps the vented hood is the cure.

Other contributing factors for immediate throttle response - probably the most important is to remove the slack from the throttle cable; replacing the steel pulleys with aluminum may also help (the engine definitely spools up faster). Also notice the engine heat shield. This prevents direct heat soak from the block to the intake canister. If you install an engine torque damper, the PRM will no longer move around in the engine compartment.

Hope this helps!

Kodokan, where'd you get the aftermarket pulleys from? i've heard they can throw off timing. is this true?

Kodokan, vented hood and ztec heatshield are both crucial when running a prm intake. nice set-up!

I got the aluminum pulleys from an S2Ki group buy a couple of years ago.

No problems at all with the timing. All of the pulleys I'm using are the same size as OEM.
