Cover is very tight and the strap on the passenger side buzzes at speed - only used it a couple times.

Rear bumper fit on one side is poor but the paint is fine.

I'll add -

"crunch" shifting from 1st to 2nd about half the time.

What seems to be cycling from the engine even when the a/c is off.

anyone else share these problems?

1. my tunneau (sp?) on my 05 cover doesn't fit like the cover did on my 00. both were the OEM cover that comes with the car. the cover for my 00 snapped right on and the cover for the 05 takes some serious effort to get the holes to line up. it literally takes two people to force the top to line up.
Gave up after trying for 15 minutes with 2 pairs of hands.
It is now returned inside the plastic bag under my bed.

no problem with 2 & 3

I have had no problems like this with my 05. Maybe the ones built for the UK market are of superior build quality than those sold to the States !!

Cheers

I have the #3 problem too, will have to check for #1,2.

there's a work-around, I find that when turning the key to the off position, you have to turn it all the way to the end, and you'll hear a light clicking sound(very light, barely noticeable). I'm assuming that's some sort of locking mechanism engaging, letting the computer know the key is out.

I have a hard time putting the cover on my 02, as for the ignition, my friend just purchased an 05 and it does the same exact thing.

I am not having these problems with my MY05.

The first time I tried, it took an hour to get the tonneau cover on by myself. Now it takes about five minutes or less.

The key thing seems to be like a common thing on all years. I haven't experienced it yet though.
Seems like the trend is that only 02+ get this. Any MY00 or 01 owners have this? Is this the only advantage of owning an earlier model?

Twisting the strap before connecting to the interior of the car will eliminate the buzzing.

I had problem #3 with my 03. Went to the dealer and they replaced the entire ignition, locks, and keys.

The ignition problem?

Better yet, any OTHER Honda models have this problem? Accord, Civic?
