Default Problems with Lucid Automotive.....(anyone else?)

Just a FYI here, don't know if this is typical with others but I've waited on an order now for over a month, even paid for 2nd day Air. I sent an e-mail last Tues. and recieved a call from a lady (forgot her name) with Lucid, she told me they were waiting for a blue panel, that they had black ones on hand but no blue. I told her that I didn't order a blue panel, I had ordered a black panel. She then said that I evidently hit the wrong choice when ordering, upon which I informed her that I got an e-mail from them confirming a black panel color choice. She apologized and then told me they would get the order out ASAP.

Well, it's been another week now and no order.

Yeah... a month ago I ordered the sony DCI w/ harness. Then a week later, I decided I wanted the back panels as well... in black. My panels came in within a week. I waited almost a month and my harness didnt arrive... so I called them. I think i talked to the same lady. She said that they just received the DCIs a week ago, and for some reason forgot to fulfill my order for one. She sent it out that day and emailed me a tracking number.


I think its more a case of inefficient order processing and poor customer service...

Oh man, this doesnt sound good at all. And i was going to order some panels from them as well. Guys, you should move this into the "Electronics" forum, just to give everyone warning.

I ordered a set of rear speakers and panels from Lucid on a mid Monday Morning and no joke received a package with everything that I ordered from them two days later on Wednesday. I had only asked for UPS ground shipping.

Inside the box, everything was packaged properly and the panels were wrapped in padded envelopes and then covered with foam peanuts. All the wiring harnesses were there, the instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. The install only took about an hour to do and I even had to stop and go to the dealership to get my radio code.

I've recieved no e-mail with any tracking info. or anything since last Tues. when she telephoned me after I e-mailed them asking what's up. If I had known it was going to be thisssssss longggggg a wait I would have taken a different route and certainly not bothered with 2nd day Air for shipping. I mean after 32 days of waiting and evidently adding what's another day or two for shipping?

I'm going to call them right now while I got the time and will let everyone know the deal. I want to be fair and I know everyone is human and things happen, but time for a shipment now!

So that everyone knows I'm not making this up......my full confirmation e-mail with the essentials of the order with my name, address, e.t.c... deleted for my protection, like a condom.

Oh man this is not good. I'm hoping to get my DCI soon too. My HU is hanging by the dash useless until the DCI and INTO hardness arrive. The shipping cost is hurting but there's no other option.. $36 for a 4lbs DCI

I placed an order with them on 2/21 for an aftermarket deck harness and the 6.5" speaker adapters. I've sent an email and made several calls...haven't gotten any response from them.

I've ordered stuff from them. They can take a while sometimes, but I always got my stuff. Keep calling and emailing.

at the very LEAST, they should offer to refund the charges associated with the shipping upgrade.
