Has anybody heard that Honda may have increased production? Like I posted earlier today about a local dealer with 5 on the lot I also know of another dealer that has 3. Also, throughout the forum there seems to be dealers with cars in stock, like the post from Houston.
Has anybody heard anything?

This happened last year also. It happens during the winter because nobody wants to buy a covertable when the weather sucks. Once it warms up, those cars will be gone. It's actually the best time to get a s2000 at a good price. Also, only dealers that are asking big premiums ever have these many cars in stock.

Not to mention the fact that the stock market is down and that the economy is slowing down. My dealer has a red/black in stock (which has never happened before), because the guy who ordered it months ago was counting on the current stock market to help him pay for it. Oops!

Wait a month or two, and I'll bet we'll be back to short supply and buyers grumbling about dealer markups.

I'll have the March numbers next week. You'll have to figure out the table (i.e. first number is January-(1)):

Interesting that the Japanese have moved on to something else as their favourite, however does this include the type V, as I thought they were selling all of them they make each month in Japan ~150.

At my dealer at least they are now selling 1 a month no problem, (going off what I've seen over the last 5 months) applying that over the 185 dealers in the UK would mean 2220, even though they are getting only 900 a year, seems they don't have enough even with parallel imports.

Don't know where to look for UK sales, as you have them for US and Japan you couldn't check how many have been sold in the UK could you?

I know 2 dealerships in Massachusetts, each with 6 on the lot. A friend of mine was quoted 29,626... but I will believe that when I see it. He has an appoitment to see them today.

We'll see.

I don't think production is up; I think demand is down. Most of us Honda freaks have one now and the dealers are going to have to work a little harder to move them.
