Proflow throttle bore
I'm thinking about buying one, have a couple questions:
What kind of gains are there? HP overall? Low end? Torque? I'm interested in hearing people who have the mod's comments on it.
Also, what kind of install is it? I don't know if I could do it myself.. 2 hrs labor or so?
Also, finally the most important one.
Where can I get one? I poked around through the sponsors on this site and also looked at what I thought was pro flows site but they didn't have what I was lookin for. Is/was there a group buy? Thanks guys-

ChrisD,
hopefully a search will turn up the contact info; if not post again and I'll try to dig it up.
I know you will find several threads detailing the install process. Yeah, an hour or two if you have some experience.
As far as I know, no one has done a before and after dyno run, so we don't have any real documentation on performance gains. I feel a little better throttle response, but I can't say if there's any improvement in power. I believe Spoon claims 5 or 7 hp gains with theirs, which should be very comparable.
If it does yield 5 hp for under $200, that's one of the best bang for the buck mods you can do on this car.
I'd do it again.
Hope that helps,
Ted

krazik: Thought I mentioned it. I searched quite a bit for more specific information but aside from the occasional recommendation to buy it, not too much.
Ted/derryck: Where'd you buy yours? From mingster? Or did you mean to say you got just the exhaust from ming?
Proflow have a webpage?

GB price sometime ago was 124 + 12 shipping. Its probably a bit more now, outside of a GB, but you can always ask and see if you can setup another GB lineup, I'm sure there will be more interested at this time.

Here's ProFlow's throttle body web page:

Many of us here bought it on a group buy/chain letter deal where they sent a bored TB to the first person who did the swap and sent their original back to ProFlow, who bored that one out and sent it to the second person. That's as opposed to the normal method where you take your TB off and send it in to be bored, and can't drive your S2000 for a week or two. You could ask if they're still doing that. Their phone number is on their web page, as well as the regular price.
