Push button starter
I find that it saves me a little bit of time to use the left hand to start the engine while the right reaches for the seat belt all in one motion. Reducing the "scramble time" by using a starter button fits the purpose and image of a sports car.
Actually, I understnad that aftermarket stater button/switches are used to crank the engine before actually starting it to get the oil up to pressure. For example, when you've parked your car for a month and start it right away the first miliseconds will be doing the most damage and you would want to crank it before you start it.
I think it would've been nice if we could just crank the engine with the key and actually start the engine with the button.

I find it a bit confusing
. Think I'll write an article for CarPoint

Lotus' (is that Lotai) have always had starter buttons. It's a race thing. If you spin and stall the car you can still push a big red start button with your gloves on. Considering the repeated accounts of losing the rear end on cold S02's maybe it's a good thing.

I like the push button - makes it different. Though my wife laughs when I try to push the button to start her "Merc C". It took my brother 10 minutes before he asked how to start the car last weekend - it was his first ever Stook experience. When I finished taking him for a "quick" spin (135 mph) he was asking where they put the optional toilet paper dispensore.
Of course I told him it was in the secret compartment.
