Keep in mind that while Honda may not update a p/n, some parts go under significant design changes as they "fix bugs" without really publicizing it.

Even though 2004 is the same P/N as 2008, there *could* be some mechanical difference on a tranny purchased in 2008 and 2004.

While I highly doubt that there is... come 2015, there may very well be

^^ Haven't seen that with the s2k. They even change the part number on it when the only material difference is the supplier changed.
