question about my VIN #
hi, i own a 2009 and i got a question about my vin.
JHMAP21489S80XXXX
notice that after the "S" there is an "8" ?
isnt that number suppose to be "0" ?
i'm sure there won't be over 800,000 s2000's produced in 2009. so just wondering if anybody know what it means. thanks.

For whatever reason it is supposed to be an 8. If you look through the service manual for U.S. Models it's a 0. However for canadian models it starts with an 8. Not sure why that is but your vin is correct.
