Default Question about RHD S2000....

I have a question. Has anyone on the forum here brought over a RHD s2000? Reason i'm asking is, well, i would like to get one. LOL. I know, what for. Well, i just sold 2 of my 3 cars, and i'm waiting right now to get a s2k in about a year. Getting ready to go on deployment, so buying a s2k now won't be the greatest idea ( i don't want it to sit for 7 or more months). Anyways, i want to be a little differnt in the s2k world, and get a RHD version. But, i have not seen one for sale in the states anywhere. Not even on ebay. Just wondering if any stateside owners have one. Just wondering, thanks!

It wouldn't be legal here. If it's not EPA/DOT certified you could only import it for a six month period, then it would have to leave the country again.

See this link for detail and more links:

That's because even if the cars are readily available in the U.S (by that I mean the USDM version of the car you're looking to import)., the 15-year rule still applies. Won't be able to get a true JDM s2k on the streets until late 2014. You could, however, buy a USDM s2k and do a RHD conversion.
