Question about Rick's clear diffusers
I want the look of the clear diffusers, but I have a question before I do it.
For visibility, amber is better then white. If I install this kit, will the light be white or amber?
Thanks alot

The stock headlight have amber diffusers with clear bulbs. Rick's diffuser only replace the amber diffusers, so you need to select a bulb that you will replace the stock clear bulb with.
Here is TX it is legal to have white lighting for the front turn signals, but other states have differant laws.

Help! I too want to replace my stock amber diffusers with JDM clear. Does anyone know what California law specifies regarding bulb color? And how many bulbs - and how many different kinds - will I need to replace, and where can said bulbs be purchased?
Also, has anyone had firsthand experience with the CHP or the California Courts system regarding this conversion?
Any comments, advice or even a harangue on the subject will be much appreciated! Thanks.

OK, I looked up California's Vehicle Code & have learned that either clear or amber lenses and/or bulbs are legal.
Elsewhere in the S2K Forums I learned the number(s) of the bulbs I'll need and that they're readily available. (Thanks, QT_S2K & Ludedude - can ya spare a 714?) This board is the greatest!

hey carlos,
would you have the link to the california vehicle code? i'm having trouble locating that code.
a few years ago, i got pulled over for having clear corners with a white signal light while driving in san jose. i ended up paying $10 for the fix-it ticket.

In california it is legal to have white turn signal markers. For those who are clearing your corners, you can go to an import car shop and get the replacement bulbs that are amber or hyperwhite. For my car I got amber bulbs for the turn signal and hyperwhite for the running lights. So the total number of bulbs you replace are 4. 2 signal lights and 2 running lights.
