Default Question about swapping a door

I'm helping a friend swap a driver's door on her 95 civic. I've never swapped a door before on a car, and it seems pretty straightforward where to unbolt the door from the hinges (hinges look to stay on car and bolt onto the new one) but what I'm wondering is how to deal with the wiring harnesses. The main harness has a rubber flex tube around it in the door sill hinge; how do I unplug this? Does it just come out or will I have to take off the inner door metal and separate it from the outer door and take out the harness where it attaches everywhere? Or should I unbolt the door and then take off the harness?

I hope that was understandable, thanks for the help!

you'll have to remove the panel and unplug all the connectors then remove it from the door through the rubber grommet.
