The problem is the tires. Those things are wide and the wider the patch, the increased roll resistance. Also they are built very sticky.
Want a car with easy rolling resistance? Easy, install the Insight's tires.
Sort of messes up the reasons for the car though.
P.S. you should try and push a 911TT sometimes, feels like a Chevy Suburban when you are trying to get it rolling.
