Question for driver's over 50 yrs old
I'm 6'2" and usually adjust my seats so the bottom cushion is high in the front and low in the rear for more thigh support and a nice "sucked in" feeling for driving. Of course the S2K does not have this adjustment, so I made some 5/8" spacers to place onder the front track mounts where they bolt to the floor. I replaced the stock bolts with longer grade 8 bolts and bent the rear mounting tabs down a few degrees. The results were so good that I did the passenger seats too. My bony butt does not get numb any more! If any other tall dudes are interested, just e-mail me. I'll put together some do it yourself instructions, or turn ket kits for a fee.

I'm 48 6'1" and 210lb I did an 8 hr hiway trip in the s2000 and my bum got numb. The seat grips you so theres not much room to shift side to side. There are lots of cars with better hiway ride. For shorter trips, or mix in some windy roads to break up the monoteny of straight line fever, the S is just fine. Driver position, control ergo, shifter feel is awsome. 30 MPG is possible

I'm pushing 54, have an absolute need for good lumbar, also have an MG (albeit a modified B Roadster), and find the S2000 seats extemely supportive and comfortable. I've also go 20 lbs on you. In fact, of all my five vehicles, the S2000 is the most comfortable for me seat-wise.
I qualify to answer under all criteria. I am 51,(a young 51 although I will be 52 next month) 6'3", (used to be 6'4",shrinkage you know) 210 lb.(used to be 195, expansion you know) and drive my S2000 to work every day. (I must confess I only work Mon.- Thur. and live 3/4 mile from work, but I always take the long way home.)
I fit snugly in the S2000 but comfortable. The longest trips I have taken were made up of 3hr. segments and I had no problem with the seating position or TB. (if you must know the stops were really dictated by another calling that comes with age other than seating problems).
I enjoy this car and would recommend you purchase one.

I just returned from the dealership. I was able to reacquaint myself with the S. Once again I had the same impression that the side bolsters on the seats were too hard and too confining. That's something I might or might not get used to. I wasn't able to test drive the car. It was sold to a California rental company and being picked up today. I think the only way I'm going to know for sure it to take one out for a long spin. It's going to be a long winter, but at least there's the Detroit auto show next week. Once again, thanks everyone for your input.
dlq04.... I thought the side bolsters were hard and confining the first time I sat in one. However, of course I bought it anyway. Once I started driving it on a regular basis never had another thought about the seat so it must not be a problem. Going on 57 6'0",
195lbs. I have had back surgery ( L-5) so I
am real carefull getting in and out of the car. However, it's not a problem. Like another post said, once you figure it out it's a piece of cake. My ten year younger sig-other has a problem getting in and out with a tight skirt on but I am always there to help.
