question on manual transmission and shifting...
double clutch = a method used when the synchros dont slow the gears down to match and allow smooth shifting. by clutching in (taking out of gear)-out-in then shifting into next gear, it slows the free gear down to a speed wher a smooth shift can occur (someone else may have a better explaination)
power shifting shifting WITH/WITHOUT clutching with the throttle open (yes, it can be done but has to be done correctly) in order to save time and keep the motor running
blipping tapping the accellerator, usually when clutch is down to match rpm's in a down shift.
catching gears ? probably used to describe rpm matching for down shifts amd power shifting
bog when the car hesitates, usually used to descrive the hesitation that occurs on a start b/c the intake takes in some hot air from standing still
here is my definitions, I am sure others will have some better ones.
I would advise taking a high performance driving course to learn more about the car and what you can do in it. Usually, you will cover some of these points in actual application. Well worth the investment...best mod you can make.
edited to reflect clarifications and corrections.

Just to clarify a minor point about double-clutching: the first time the clutch pedal is depressed, the shifter is moved into neutral. The clutch is then released, then the clutch pedal is depressed again and the desired gear is selected. On a downshift, the throttle is usually "blipped" while the clutch pedal is released and the transmission is in neutral to bring the input shaft up to a speed that matches what the rear wheels will drive it at in the lower gear. (The blip is necessary on old, unsynchronized transmissions, optional with synchronizers.)
It's a small point that those who understand double-clutching take for granted, but might matter to a newbie.
