ah yes, regreasing shifter... the solution to all problems. If we had to make a FAQ, it would look like this

Q: Shifts are notchy. What should I do?
A: Regrease the shifter!

Q: Clutch pedal squeaks whenever I press it. What should I do?
A: Regrease the shifter!

Q: I just spun out and hit a tree. What should I do?
A: Regrease the shifter!

I had this same issue with my ap2 also. It seems that you should change the clutch fluid and wait for the car to be warmed up for the shift for the gears to be smooth.
I also have the 1st gear bass pop when I put mine in.

My tyranny fluid are fresh but my clutch fluid looks a bit dark

all it takes is like a 1 or 2 second delay after pushing in the clutch and you're golden. no more clunks.

Don't use a Honda dealer. Ever. Or any dealer in fact.

If you HAVE to use a garage - take it to TGM.

However, all the jobs you need to do are a piece of cake for the home DIY'er and can be done easily and a lot cheaper than via a garage.

To confirm - to make my shifts easier I've done the following:

1. Change gearbox oil. £20 ish and 20 minutes?
2. Change clutch fluid and bleed - £5 and 30 minutes?
3. Grease shifter - £5 and 1 hour ish?
4. Grease shifter fork - £0 (use the same grease as the shifter) and 30 minutes?

Finally - I fitted a new clutch master cylinder as mine was weeping slightly, probably didn't make a difference but for £110 ish it was worth it.

I still don't get perfect shifts but double clutch when going 1-2-3 until it's warm, then it's smooth as silk
