I'm getting an '04 S2000 soon but didn't ask the salesman... does the S come standard w/a factory alarm system? or just remote key-less entry?

yeah its not included but maybe you can negotiate it into the purchase price. alarm costs 273 by itself so maybe offer 300 more for it installed.

 

Thanks guys, yeah I'm gonna opt to get that alarm put in. Since it's going to be a leased car, I don't want to go putting in aftermarket stuff, but I do think an alarm is important in a cool car that'll attract attention.

FjS2000 if I were you I would definately invest in an aftermarket alarm, something like Clifford. Had my 03 stolen because of the awesome "factory alarm". Get the Clifford G5 with the omni sensor, tilt sensor, and prox sensor just to be on the safe side. I would have never thought anyone would want to jack a stock s2000 but apparently I was wrong.

My new s2000 has the clifford on it. Although its pretty annoying when someone get close to it, the thing beeps, it just ease my mind that it will be harder for thieves to take.
