Beautiful day at the beach today...much to the chagrin of Dr. Storm on the Weather Channel. Idiot.

I don't know. We heard from him on Friday when he got home, but nothing since. I hope he's ok. I want my toaster too.

I'm around...

The wife took most of my weekend away from me, so in advance - sorry for not being around! On that note... The weekend was very eventful; always on the go...

Sat morning, slept in (that was nice!) - then went to the Angels / A's game...

SIDEBAR... Ok, I really need to have something explained to me (rhetorical). Why are the friggin Halo's losing all these games? After today's massacre (L10-1. again to the A's), the Angels are 11.5 back of the American West lead (M's). Not that we're, per Scioscia, trying to "catch up," but we're rather trying to just "win games." I really think the Angels are mad at me for traveling so much, and not being able to go to the games or catch them on the tube. We really need to get our asses in gear in Aug and Sept if we're going to the show. I know, I know, the Angels won 40+, come from behind games, last year and went on to win the whole thing - but I'm still scared! Ok, thanks for letting me vent. I'll try not to do it too much more. Back to the weekend.

So the game was Sat early afternoon, then the wife and I went to a wedding. A good friend of mine from H.S. got married yesterday and it was a beautiful event. The wedding was at a Greek church (he's not though, but his wife is). It was actually a cool "event" to participate in (seeing a diff. Religion's wedding - for the wife and I are Roman Cath.). So after the afternoon wedding, it was off to the Ritz Carlton, overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Dana Point. What a beautiful, beautiful reception. We didn't get home till around 1:15a.m. for they didn't start to play... how should I say this... "younger genre of music" (did that not offend anyone) until around midnight. The entire event was not only an opportunity to see one of my good friends get married, or to see if from a diff. Religious point of view, or the free booze, food, ocean views, etc., but it was more of an opportunity to renew our vows, along with everyone else. I've only been married for a short period, but it's nice to re-live the magical day! Whew... all in one breath!

Sun morning, slept in (again, nice). And as quoted on Fri. (I think) we went to the Water Park! That was an all day, fun event! Very exhausting, though. Not the fact that we went on the slides, or throughout the wave pools, etc., but the fact that A.N.F. and I were "chaperones" for some teenagers. Let me explain. I think I may have mentioned that A.N.F. is in a Pageant of the Masters event that takes place every year in Laguna Beach, CA. If you have never heard of it, check out http://www.foapom.com/_new/site/overview_pom.asp - anyway, A.N.F. is in one of the pictures, and she met some "younger" friends. So we were kind of thrown in to watching these 13 year olds for the day. Many of you have young children and children in their teens, but having to "deal" with them randomly, is an interesting battle. BTW, it was three girls and one boy - none of them related, just friends. I could go on for a few pages just talking about the day with these monsters! Sweet Jesus, I'm reconsidering having children! Actually, they weren't that bad, compared to some of the other children at the park.

Anyway, the day was exhausting, came home took a little power nap, and here I am. Of course, none of you are around, you're all probably sleeping! I'm kidding, hope everyone has a wonderful Monday morning, and I promise, I'll be around tomorrow to make more of a contribution. So there's my weekend - hope I didn't bore anyone!

Good night!
