holy crap this thread is long!!

too hot today in my opinion. went to the annual balloon festival with the wife, watched 100+ hot air ballons take off while kicking back with some beers

it was a nice time, minus the crazy $$ they charge for refreshements and admission, plus the area is a madhouse when you are trying to leave. if you can go with the mindset that you will spend some money, and you are in no rush, you have no choice but to enjoy yourself. and your kids will love it!

this was the first year we went to the festival, which is a mile down the road. Last year a hot air balloon landed in our yard, I suppose that got us interested in going this time around.

oh and highlight of the day for me was the largest balloon there. It was an American Bald Eagle, intact with talons and all. When that sucker took off, everyone stood + applauded

Actually it sounds like a nice summer thing to do. I think we'll try it next year.

That must have been exciting to have a balloon land in your yard. Must've been quite a surprise.

Sunday morning 9:15 A.M. 69 degree's and mostly cloudy. We are expecting some bad weather later in the day today. Looks like tomorrow will be my day off to cruise in the S top down.
